Owner Mike Rose has submitted an application to Chiltern District Council for the demolition of five existing glasshouses and the erection of three multi-bay glasshouses.
Meanwhile, King Farms has applied for permission to create a garden centre with tea shop and a plant nursery near Auchterarder, Perth & Kinross.
Outline plans submitted to Perth & Kinross Council show the new venture would be on a 1.4ha site, accessed from Ruthven Park, which is currently vacant grazing land.
Also included within the development could be a 52-space car park, polytunnels and a house for the garden centre's manager.
The developer intended the garden centre to operate between 9am and 6pm, seven days a week, when it is up and running.
The plans are now in the hands of Perth & Kinross Council's planning team.
