Garden centre water leak causes fire

Fryers Garden centre in Knutsford, Cheshire had to be evacuated on 29 July after a water leak caused a fire to start in a electrical cupboard.

The incident happened at 2.20pm on 29 July and the centre reopened as normal on 30 July.

The fire, caused by a water leak, as a result of the heavy storms that hit the area also caused a power black out at the centre.

One fire engine from Knutsford and one from Northwich attended and the fire was extinguished using dry powder.

Blue Diamond-owned Fryers exhibited at the RHS Tatton Park Flower Show on 25-28 August and was at RHSHampton Court Palace Flower Show on 9-14 August.
