Garden centre reaches 10,000 club members

A garden centre has now reached 10,000 members for its reward card scheme after 10 years.

As part of the scheme, Fairways in Ashbourne, Derbyshire send offers and discount vouchers out to the members every two months as a way of saying thank you to its customers.

The owner of the special card got a personal reward for being the 10,000th member as he was given £100 to spend in store on what he pleased.

Assistant manager Stephen Hodkinson said: "Members get 2.5 per cent back from what they spend; mailing goes out every two months and so far it has been very successful."
