Garden Centre Group staff find new roles

Hillier and Blue Diamond pick up former TGCG senior managers

Former The Garden Centre Group (TGCG) regional manager Martin Andrews has had talks about joining his ex-TGCG colleague Chris Francis at Hillier.

And Blue Diamond has appointed former TGCG lifestyle and leisure buyer Stuart Whalley as head of buying for garden sundries and furniture.

TGCG shed nine of its 12 regional managers last year, as revealed by HW.

They included Paul Wright, Peter Burks, James Cockrell, Francis, Paul Dye, Simon Baker and Andrews.

Burks has gone to Trelawney, while Dye has joined Grovewell Garden Centres.

Melanie Evans, Chris Brannigan and David Longmore stayed.

TGCG has recruited a set of new managers.
