Stuart Heritage joins from Dixons Retail as head of category commercial management. He will "work across categories and partner with all suppliers to explore new opportunities and initiatives to benefit customers, suppliers and the group".
Anita Morrison joins from Britvic as head of decision support "to advise and support on complex pricing and promotional decisions, ensuring customers get the right price and best promotion on all products".
Mairi Devlin, is a new garden buyer category manager who has joined from Homebase and will "spot trends" and source products. David Mitchell joins from Waitrose as a specialist plants buyer.
TGCG horticulture head Tim Clapp said: "Gardening is at the heart of our business, and we have assembled a horticulture team of unparalleled strength, including some of the most experienced buyers in the industry, to make sure our customers have access to the finest plants, flowers and supplies in the UK."
Meanwhile, The Garden Centre Group will donate 50p from Thompson & Morgan ‘Flying the Flag’ sweet pea and ‘Per Ardua ad Astra’ cornflower packets to the RAF Benevolent Fund.
