Garden Centre Association shortlist three to replace Gillie Westwood

The Garden Centre Association has interviewed three candidates in a second round interviews last week in a bid to find a replacement for the retiring Gillie Westwood before Christmas.

The association received more than 50 applications for the £45,000 a year post from a range of backgrounds, including many people currently running or deputies at trade bodies and charities.

The appointee is to be appointed a month before GCA conference from January 23-25 at the Crowne Plaza Heythrop Park near Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire and will attend the event.

The preferred candidate is likely to come from outside the industry.
