Garden Centre Association sets date to finalise choice of chief executive

The Garden Centre Association is set to finalise its choice of chief executive on 28 November.

Iain Wylie has been interim chief executive since September 2012, when he succeeded Phil Slinger, who started in the role in January 2012.

GCA treasurer David Little said: "The GCA has advertised the position for chief executive and received an excellent response. Several of those applications made an initial shortlist. That shortlist has been reviewed a second time along with any late applications and a final shortlist of candidates has been selected for first interview in the middle of November.

"A second interview may be required depending on the outcome of those first interviews. The GCA Executive Committee will meet in London on the 28th November when we expect the interview panel to put forward their recommendation for a full time appointment for a chief executive."
