Garden Centre Association figures show 26% rise in plants sales

Early indications from Garden Centre Association members show October was 10% up in garden centres, with outdoor plants a huge 26% up.

After 26 members returned figures, Christmas was up 13%, seeds and bulbs were 10.5% up, hard landscaping was 21% up and catering was 7% up.

Overall, garden centres are 11% up on the year so far.
