Fryer fire at Sanders garden centre

Three fire crews were called to Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll, Somerset, after a kitchen blaze.

One fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea and two from Weston-super-Mare were sent to the garden centre.

Crews located a small fire within a deep fat fryer in the kitchen," a fire spokesman said.

"The fire had already been extinguished by the occupiers using a fire blanket, but the crews also used two CO2 extinguishers and two breathing apparatus."

A Sanders representative said: "Everything is back to normal. It was a very small fire."
