Horticulture Week is a media partner at the conference - named "Health Claims for Fruit and Vegetables: the Facts."
The conference is taking place on June 23 at Stockbridge Technology Centre (STC) to help growers and processors understand the latest European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) health claim legislation.
It is also updating the industry on some of the latest scientific research on the health benefits of various produce - including carrots, berries and broccoli.
Sophia Johansson of Leatherhead Food Research, for example, is letting growers know how they can develop and steer a health claim application through EFSA's system - while Caroline Saunders of the University of Reading is discussing her research on berry flavonoids and their effects on brain function.
Llarge producers and processors of fresh produce can attend the event for free but places are limited to 90. To book your place contact firstname.lastname@example.org
