Fortieth anniversary of landscape training celebrated by pioneers at Merrist Wood

Pioneers of landscaping have celebrated the anniversary of the launch of formal training in Britain at Merrist Wood, where it all began in 1972.

Former lecturer Pat McCann, and former tutor Robin Williams, former head of landscape Geoff Ace and former lecturer Don Cooper planted a beech tree to mark the 40-year anniversary.
