Scott’s Miracle-Gro's Flower Magic, launched at Glee in 2012, has dominated the £3.3 million hybrid flower seed market, taking 80 per cent of the sales, according to GfK retail analysts.
The most popular product in the range is the Miracle-Gro Flower Magic Multi-coloured, which combines up to 29 varieties of flower seeds and is worth £1.8m alone.
This is three times more than its closest competitor, GfK has found.
Flower Magic is a flower seed, coir mix enriched with Miracle-Gro plant food that lasts for four months. Scott’s attribute the success to the "appeal to both keen gardeners and non-gardeners alike".
