Lancashire's Flavourfresh Salads managed a clean sweep at the Tastiest Tomato Competition, held at the National Fruit Show.
The overall winner and recipient of the David Stapley Cup was the cherry variety Sweet Rosso, grown by Flavourfresh's Andy Roe.
Second place went to another cherry variety Sweet Green, grown by David Barker who also took third place with the plum variety Lipso.
Further individual category winners were:
- Beef category: Wight Salads Group with variety Tomimaru Muchoo
- Classic category: Cornerways Nursery with variety Temptation
- Cocktail category, Flavourfresh Salads with variety Lipso
- Cherry and baby plum category: Flavourfresh Salads with variety Sweet Rosso.
