First-time RHS Chelsea Flower Show designer James Wong praises Hillier Landscapes

RHS Chelsea Flower Show newcomer James Wong has praised Hillier Landscapes' experience.

Ethnobotanist Wong – who recently appeared on BBC2 television series Grow Your Own Drugs – has designed a garden for the Canary Islands Tourist Board with garden designer David Cubero.

Wong spent yesterday (29 May) on the Chelsea show site for the first time and told HW he was excited to be involved in the show.

"We've got quite an ambitious garden but if it was easy it wouldn't be fun," he said.

"We are working with Hillier Landscapes, which is very reassuring because they are so established and have so much experience under their belts."

See Horticulture Week magazine on 8 May for a RHS Chelsea Flower Show preview.
