The new service allows users to apply for, track and print Felling Licences for land they own, or authorise an agent to do so on their behalf, and requires spatial data to be uploaded.

Users can check for any constraints on the land such as SSSI’s, before submitting an application, ensuring compliance with UK Forestry Standard and other regulations.

Applications and approved licences can now be accessed in the field via mobile, tablet or laptop.

A full guide to the new service can be found here.

Felling Licences can still be applied for by post, the Commission adds.
