Exhibitor-space pressure prompts Solex decision to relocate to Birmingham NEC

The Solex trade show for garden furniture and barbecues will move to Birmingham from next year.

The Leisure & Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA)-organised event, which took place earlier this week, has outgrown its current home at the Telford International Centre and will move to a bigger hall at the NEC in 2013.

"We're a victim of our own success and I want to pay tribute to the Telford centre for its help in this," said LOFA secretary Phil Gibbs.

"We've asked for ten per cent more space at the NEC, but we're going to need an even bigger hall in the future. Several exhibitors have said they need more space and some companies weren't able to get a stand," he added.
