English Gardening School launches new design courses

The English Gardening School, based at London's Chelsea Physic Garden, is launching new courses for the academic year 2013 -14.

New for early 2014, an intensive 10 week course in garden design is aimed at students who cannot devote a whole year to the subject. Led by Rosemary Alexander and other tutors, two real site projects, hard landscaping, plant knowledge and business practice "will give students a firm launch pad for a career in garden design".

Meanwhile the once weekly Good Gardening Diploma Course gives students an opportunity to experience design and planting while training in the "more serious aspects of horticulture" and will include illustrated lectures and practical working site visits.
