Glendale Managed Services has demonstrated good employer a nd management best practice through a range of HR and training-focused policies and activities.

Involvement in apprenticeship programmes and employment initiatives through Future Jobs Fund and Education Business Partnerships were of particular note.

"Training Champions" within regions identify staff needs and work closely with local training providers. Internal training for managers features strongly in key disciplines.

Valid communication functions have been developed, from staff noticeboards and monthly newsletters to employee forums and an extensive employee survey.

Success is celebrated through internal awards where 80 employees were presented with NVQ qualifications. Good outreach work with community groups and charities, such as Perennial, enhances the company's commitment and care to beyond their own staff.
