The prize is part of a Kids Go Green with Eden campaign launched by the Eden Project and The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre.

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of getting children outside and learning about their natural environment.

With up to £8,000 up for grabs, the aim is to create a fantastic outside space at the school whether by building a biosphere, or transforming an unloved playground into a wildflower garden.

The winning school will also receive 1,000 bulbs to kickstart the transformation and a visit from a member of the Eden Project’s educational team.

The competition has launched this month through www.flowerbulbs.co.uk and schools have until December to enter.
