A garden firm has received a boost from TV Dragon’ Den star Theo Paphitis, as part of the business investor scheme to promote small companies.
Last week, Adrian Valentine, managing director of Perfect Pergolas, tweeted Paphitis about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by the Ryman's chairman that runs weekly.
Paphitis re-tweeted Valentine’s message to his 350,000 followers and as a result, the business www.perfectpergolas.co.uk has gained 300 more followers and extra orders for its bespoke pergolas.
The firm is also profiled on Paphitis' website www.theopaphitissbs.com that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.
Valentine said: ‘We’ve only been in business just over a year and it’s great to have the support from Theo as he’s been involved in so many businesses that it makes his experience invaluable."
"Winning this award has raised our profile considerably and Theo has understood and recognised our hard work and helped to spread the word about Perfect Pergolas and what we do to all his followers."
Anyone looking for a re-tweet from Paphitis should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5pm and 7.30pm and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re-tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to enter their profile on Paphitis' website.
