Dr Hugh Evans, head of tree health division, The Forestry Commission

The Forestry Commission has chosen Dr Hugh Evans, head of the tree health division at its Forest Research agency, to set up a department in Aberystwyth, Wales.

The entomologist, who specialises in invasive, non-native pest species, is currently based at Forest Research's Alice Holt Research Station near Farnham, Surrey, and transfers to Aberystwyth in January.
