Mark Diacono, who grows mulberry, apricots and olives at Otter Farm in Honiton, Devon, penned Veg Patch to encourage experimental growing.
Diacono will promote the book launch in March with a Get Growing in Spring tour of his kitchen garden, polytunnels and allotments.
Producers and suppliers will attend the event on 28 March, said a representative for the publisher River Cottage.
Diacono began planting crops in Devon around five years ago, and his work has been heralded in the press as the future of farming in the age of climate change.
He has invested in persimmons, pomegranates and Szechuan peppers.
