Defra confirms new ministerial responsibilities

Defra has confirmed new under secretary George Eustice MP is responsible for farming and food, fisheries and animal health.

His fellow new under secretary Dan Rogerson MP is looking after forestry, rural affairs and environmental management.

Lord de Mauley is now running science and research, natural environment, biodiversity and bee health.

Minister of state David Heath and under secretary Richard Benyon returned to the backbenches in the reshuffle.

Owen Paterson remains Defra secretary of state.
