Deadline looms for Whiteley's Garden Centre sale

The race is on the sell a garden centre that is in administration, with the deadline for offers on 14 December.

Gilbert Evans, the specialist garden centre property consultant, has been instructed by the administrators to handle the sale of Whiteleys Garden Centre  near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Partner Mike Gilbert said: "The garden centre has already attracted a lot of interest and we have over 20 non-desclosure agreements signed. This is a good centre with a quality infrastructure that will appeal to both independent and multiple operators".

The garden centre is freehold and has a turnover of  £2m.  Turnover throughout November and December has held up well, in line with the sector generally, said Gilbert.

Offers are due to be submitted by close of business on 14 December with the intention of completing a sale as soon as possible thereafter.
