De Thame to attend Party for Perennial

Gardeners' World presenter Rachel de Thame and garden designer Paul Hervey-Brookes are among guests booked for the Party for Perennial fundraiser.

The event at The Roof Gardens in Kensington on 15 January, which will feature entertainers Simon Bates, Harry the Piano and Fay Presto, will relaunch a tradition lost for a century. Perennial held an annual dinner in its early years but this was cancelled in 1915 because of World War One.

Rob and Rosy Hardy of Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants, Matt O'Conner of John O'Conner will also attend the event, at which the "Grubby Gardeners" will also feature. Tickets cost £45 - see www.perennial.org.uk.
