Nick Davies has quashed rumours once again that he is leaving Solus for another role in the industry.

The Solus managing director had to end rumours earlier this year that he was looking to move after owner Simon Yealland appointed his son Ross as commercial director.

Davies did however confirm he had spoken to Gardman earlier this year.

Davies said: "There are a lot of vicious rumours. I'm absolutely staying."

Meanwhile, Gardman sales director Bernard Shannon, who was appointed in April, is set to leave in the New Year as part of a change in management at the business following new investment in late 2012.

The garden centre supplier is set to move its headquarters to Peterborough, where it has a showroom, from Moulton, where previous owner Paris Natar is landlord.

Up to 18 people at the 230 staff company are being asked to consider voluntary redundancy as Gardman looks at overheads and restructuring.
