David Lowe retires from Webbs Garden Centres

David Lowe has retired from Webbs Garden Centres after 32 years in the business.

Lowe joined Webbs in 1978 and worked his way up through a variety of roles, including garden centre manager of the Webbs, Wychbold centre. He retires from his current position as senior group operations manager.

Webbs chief executive Boyd Douglas-Davies said: "I have worked with David for over 20 years of his time at Webbs and he has been a major part of growing the garden centre business which now includes stores at West Hagley and Ryton Gardens as well as Wychbold. David has been involved in every project, and his contribution has been highly valued. We will miss him."

As well as his whole-hearted input in the business, Lowe has been a keen supporter of charities supported by Webbs.  Last year he completed the 31 mile Worcestershire Way Walk in a day with Douglas-Davies, raising £7,500 for St Richard’s Hospice. Lowe is looking forward to spending more of his free time enjoying his walking pursuits.
