Courses to tackle a tougher market

"Winning Business in a Tough Market" is the title of one of the first workshops to kick off the new London College of Garden Design's short-course programme.

The courses aim to help professional garden designers and landscapers succeed in the difficult economic climate.

Director of garden design studies Andrew Wilson said: "In these challenging times it is important that we offer practical, inspirational courses and workshops from which both designers and landscapers can benefit."

The short-course programme includes workshops aimed at contemporary design trends, supporting business development, the secrets of show garden success and planting design.

Winning Business in a Tough Market is on 27 January, followed by garden design workshops on 17 February and 17 March. A Fresh Look at Profitability takes place on 26 May and Planting for Climate Change is on 9 June.
