Contractor Norris & Gardiner celebrates half century in business with clients and suppliers

A group of clients, industry contacts, suppliers and special guests celebrated at Knaphill, Surrey base on 3 July to mark landscape and grounds maintenance contractor Norris & Gardiner's 50 years of trading.

In 1964 Colin Gardiner joined forces with Cedric Norris and Norris & Gardiner was born.

There have been many changes over the years and 2014 saw another significant move as Norris & Gardiner became part of the Gavin Jones Group.

The two companies teamed up in a formal trading alliance last year. The day to day running of the business will be largely unchanged.

Director Richard Gardiner said: "It was great to mark the occasion with some those people that have made it happen over the 50 years, of course my father couldn’t be with us but his co-founder Cedric Norris joined us as well as his brother John who is also a former partner.

"I would like to thank my team and the suppliers who all put so much effort into the day making it a great success."
