Complete Weed Control has won its tenth annual maintenance contract at the £4m training resort used by top Welsh sports teams.
The Durham-based national company will provide selective weed control maintenance at the Vale Resort near Cardiff in Wales.
The resort has five full size pitches, three 60m x40m pitches, off-field training areas and a 3G artificial surface, along with two golf courses.
It provides training facilities for the Welsh Rugby Union, Cardiff Blues rugby club Cardiff City FC and the Welsh Football Association.
Complete Weed Control (CWC) won the contract for nine years and fought off rival quotes to secure it again until March 2014. It also provides spraying services at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
Simon Heal, head of sports turf and estates at the Vale Resort said: "CWC are a massive help and have helped us reduce the amount of chemicals that we previously used.
"We’ve been trying to keep our grass surfaces as hardy as possible throughout the year."
As well as the playing areas, CWC sprays hard-standing areas around the resort including club houses, the hotel and a new apartment development.
