The green screens are wire frames on which Hedera ivy is grown. This is used as boundary walling and, once established, is almost indestructible and virtually immune to vandalism and graffiti.
Mobilane UK director Sean Farrell said: "Sales increased by 80 per cent last year. We want to work closely with people who are pro-active and are prepared to promote our goods to their customers."
He added that the screens were being used extensively by local authorities and social housing providers because they met current standards on biodiversity and protection from fumes.
Farrell said installing the screens was relatively easy and added that, after the first year, they needed almost no maintenance. "We want to build a new culture among contractors. This could be a growing market for firms who are prepared to go into partnership," he said.
