Former Landscape Institute president Nigel Thorne has revealed to HW he is hoping to get involved in projects to regenerate the Middle Eastern country of Libya.
According to Thorne, the landscape possibilities are significant.
"Colonel Gaddafi and his sons have got an exciting vision and they are looking to Western partners for input," he explained.
"As yet Libya is very unspoilt and I'm discovering they are trying to retain some integrity in the way they move forward.
"My aim is to bring that integrity to everything, so it doesn't end up like another Dubai. Where we have got whole-hearted change it starts from the landscape concept and is not just about lipstick and frippery."
