Choice Marketing group gives garden centre members record rebate

Garden centre members of the Choice Marketing group have been told they are in for a record breaking annual rebate cheque from suppliers at the end of this season.

Addressing members at its recent annual general meeting, Sam Bosworth, who was re-elected as chairman of Choice Marketing for a further 12 months, said that despite a slow start to the season, group turnover had increased by around eight per cent year on year.

The 34 member centres reported that Christmas had got off to a promising start with most achieving sales increases of between 19 per cent and 73 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Several centres have co-operated on container deals from the Far East.

A new addition to the board is Mark Winchester of Blackbrooks Garden Centre at Hastings.

Choice Marketing has had a freeze on new membership for the last 12 months but is now in a position to consider applications from like minded garden centres.
