The proposals will see the paving replaced by resin-bound gravel and a York stone border engraved with a representation of the surrounding view. Four backless benches will replace two existing benches. The work is to address erosion and reduce the impact of wear and tear.
A parks representative said the work would retain the character of the hill. But Primrose Hill Conservation Area Advisory Committee vice-chair Pam White said the plans were inappropriate: "This type of stone has no place in the park." No date has been agreed for the work.
