Celebrate the best

The Horticulture Week awards are back to celebrate the very best in the industry.

Horticulture Week is delighted to announce that the second Horticulture Week Awards — the only pan-industry awards for ornamental horticulture in the UK — will take place on Tuesday 3 October. The 2006 awards, once again organised by the industry’s leading trade and professional magazine and supported by our headline sponsor, the HTA, will celebrate the very best across the growing, amenity, landscape, retail, arboriculture and professional gardening sectors. More than that, the awards will provide an unrivalled opportunity for people from all sectors of the horticulture industry to gather together for an unmissable social occasion and networking opportunity in the magnificent grounds and beautiful Georgian clubhouse of the Hurlingham Club in west London. This year, the awards have been expanded to include a number of new categories. The new awards include: Professional Gardener of the Year; Open Space Management Team of the Year; Excellence in Exporting; Best New Product; Best Plant Marketing Campaign; two awards recognising business initiative in the growing and retail sectors; and an award dedicated to the garden centre planteria. The awards will be judged by a panel of distinguished experts from across the ornamental horticulture industry. In all the categories, whatever the chosen field, the judges will be looking for evidence of excellence and best practice, as well as an understanding of the market, creativity, flair, cost-effectiveness, high standards and good relationships.
