Campey to run turf care day on Isle of Man

Campey Turf Care Systems will be holding a Turf Care Renovation Day on 13 August 2013, at  King William’s College, Castledown, Isle of Man.  

Working with head groundsman Mike Atherton and local machinery dealer, Isle of Man Farmer, an day of demonstration and information is planned by Campeys.

Atherton said: "It is with great pleasure that we welcome Campey Turfcare Systems to King William’s College. Over the past two years, we have noted a developing Turfcare sector on the Isle of Man, with a range of seminars and demonstration days taking place. Many highly respected Groundsmen have visited the island to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with Manx Turfcare professionals and enthusiasts alike."

Campey Turf Care will demonstrate turf maintenance equipment machinery, some of which has previously been unseen on the Isle of Man. This includes the Koro FTM with Terraplaner, Vredo overseeder, Imants Shockwave and the new Air 2G2 aerator.

Head groundsman at Leigh Sports Village Keith Porter will give a presentation on maintaining Desso as well as natural turf pitches.
