Calls for extra funding for councils coronavirus lockdown easing hotspots

Unite, which represents 100,000 local government workers, has called on ministers to give councils in tourist ‘hot spot’ areas additional funding to cover the cost of the extra security, policing, enforcing parking regulations, and refuse collections that such crowds generate.
