This year the entry process has been made easier than ever, for even the smallest businesses to take part.
Horticulture Week editor Kate Lowe explained: "Entrants no longer need to submit a detailed written entry summary right at the start of the process. To enter, firms just need to answer the questions in the entry form, and to supply one testimonial in support of their entry."
These "first-stage" entries will then be forwarded to the independent judging panel, which will select a shortlist. Only shortlisted entrants will then be asked to supply more detailed information in support of their entry, before a second round of judging to select the winners.
In addition, entry is free of charge to everyone this year.
"This is our way of thanking the production horticulture industry for the incredible support and participation that the UK Grower Awards have enjoyed in the eight years they have been run by Horticulture Week," said Lowe.
The award categories include prizes for the best grower businesses, the best new crop varieties, environmental and training initiatives and recognition of individual achievement.
