The groups support universities by offering advice and support throughout the academic year, acting as ‘a critical friend’, advising on current landscape practice, and reporting back to the Landscape Institute (LI) on key indicators in accordance with accreditation criteria.
Professional Review Groups (PRG) also advise the LI on developments within universities and, where necessary, call universities to account on areas that require improvement.
Those serving on a PRG need to have been chartered for a minimum of five years, be aware of the issues and trends affecting the education sector, be committed to the development of the profession, be able to help ensure courses reflect current and future practice and be willing to commit to three days, each academic year.
