CABE Space hails funding for parks apprenticeships

A further tranche of Communities & Local Government (CLG) funding has been secured for local authority parks and green space apprenticeships, according to CABE Space.

Unveiling the news at last week's cross-sector green skills initiative meeting, head of public space management and best practice Nicole Collomb said a further £700,000 would be made available before Christmas. The funding will be split across 175 apprenticeships.

Local authorities will be expected to raise funds from elsewhere to top up the £4,000 seed funding, which will be provided for each apprenticeship from the CLG pot.
