Cabe publishes design guides on play, climate change and vacant urban space

Greenspace specialists can now get access on the Cabe Space website to a series of guides containing the latest thinking on issues from play to climate change.

The publications are part of a series that are being published alongside Horticulture Week magazine.

The guides now available include:

  • Designing and planning for play: Public space lessons which focuses on the opportunity for local authorities to create spaces that allow children to use their imagination, with natural play design. The publication can be accessed here.
  • Public space lessons: Adapting public space to climate change sets out the lessons learned in the UK and around the world from using public spaces to adapt to climate change and can be accessed here.
  • Land in limbo: making the best use of vacant urban spaces outlines the obstacles faced, the actions required and the benefits to be gained from bringing vacant land back into use and can be accessed here.

Two more Cabe Space guides are due to be published alongside Horticulture Week in December and January.
