Woodlark won the Silver Kentia Palm best nursery award. Managing director Colin Edwards dedicated the trophy to owner Ian Hopkins.
The Alan Hendy lifetime achievement award went to Peter Eastwood, who has been in the industry for 50 years. He said in his first year he turned over £15,000 and made £5,000 profit.
Writer and former lecturer John Sutton won the Trumpet Blower Award. The Bright Spark award was not presented this time out.
Presenting the awards, prospective NFU president Meurig Raymond praised the "£1bn at farm gate prices" bedding industry and said he wants to campaign for more intensive production should he become the union's president next month.
BPOA chairman Ian Riggs said if Raymond wins the election the BPOA will have a "friend in a very high place".
