‘A place to take root - optimising growing media use and plant nutrition' will take place at the Sutton Bonington Campus of Nottingham University on 8 July.
It will bring together expert speakers to help bring growers up to date with best practice.
HTA business development manager Tim Briercliffe will chair the session which includes a summary of the latest Defra funded projects by consultant Susie Holmes and a look at peat alternatives with Bill Carlile and Bordan Mona.
Other speakers include Scotts' Elaine Gotts, Hortifeeds Bill Riley and Fera's Sue Hockland.
The AGM is free to attend but there is a £10 charge for the technical seminar, which covers the cost of lunch.
