Blackmoor voted best online nursery

Hampshire fruit tree and plant grower Blackmoor Nurseries has been awarded the  ‘Online Plant Supplier 2014’ by consumer organisation Which?

The Which? survey, carried out in September 2013, analysed 4,000 responses.  Blackmoor topped the table, ahead of 25 other suppliers with an overall customer rating of 86 per cent.

Nursery manager Jon Munday said: "Achieving this accolade is testament to the investment we have made in digital communications, with our new website launched last January. The immediate impact was phenomenal.  Last month alone, the site received over 46,000 hits of which an incredible 14,500 were unique visits."

The company has grown by around 15 per cent per annum.

The website hosts a series of short video clips that provide viewers with tips and expert advice on how to get the best from their own fruit trees and gardens.

Munday said: "We are always asked for our advice on how and when to do the right things from our customers, so we thought we’d produce some short videos sharing some of this knowledge with everyone who is interested.  And feedback has been excellent.  Our reports tell us they have already been watched by over 25,000 people."
