Big Allotment Challenge recommissioned

BBC2's Big Allotment Challenge will have a second series in 2015.

The hit show's future was in doubt until after the second episode, when the BBC decided to commission Silver River Productions to make series two.

Judge Jim Buttress will feature more in the show, after the BBC took note of Twitter comments asking for more horticulture advice.

Buttress told HW he has been contracted to visit the Mapledurham walled garden venue near Reading for filming this June and July to add pieces for the final edit, which is mostly filmed in August and September.
