Bents Home & Garden loyalty survey shows value of training

Results from the centre's latest colleague survey show 94% of staff say they "loved" working at Bents whilst 92% would recommend Bents as an employer.

The figures are the result of Bents’ annual colleague survey which is designed to generate feedback and ensure staff are happy in their roles and their working environment.

Bents managing director Matthew Bent said: "We are blown away by the results from this year’s survey and delighted that such a large percentage of our colleagues love working with us.

"Our people are hugely important to our family business as they are the ones who deliver the high levels of service we have established a reputation for."

Bents has a GROW Leaders programme which identifies colleagues within the centre and provides training for management and leadership skills.

It is celebrating the graduation of its first four GROW Leaders, all of whom have completed their training and have secured permanent managerial roles within the business.

A second GROW programme, GROW Supervisors, was also successfully completed at the end of 2017
which saw four colleagues experience life in all areas of the business, providing them with a wider
exposure to retailing at Bents.

Bents’ GROW initiative will continue in 2018 with the launch of a new programme starting in March.
