Bedding & Pot Plant Centre plans open day

The HDC Bedding & Pot Plant Centre is holding a spring open day on 13 May at Baginton Nurseries, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire from 10am-4pm.

The HDC Bedding and Pot Plant Centre has been created to address the needs of the industry via a programme of work over two years to trial and demonstrate new product opportunities and develop practical solutions to problems encountered on nurseries.

This first open day for the Bedding and Pot Plant Centre will provide growers with an overview of the trials programme and allow an opportunity for growers to contribute to the planning of future work within the bedding and pot plant sector.

Formal tours of the trials are planned for 11:00 and 14:00, but visitors are also invited to drop in to the centre between 10:00 and 15:30, where members of the ADAS team will be on hand to guide them through the trials.  Further events are planned for the summer (23 June 2015) and the autumn.

Speakers include ADAS’ Jill England and Baginton’s Will Lamb. There will also be a tour of the centre trials with David Talbot, England and Lamb.
