Barcham Tree Nursery to host tree protection event for NATO

The National Association of Tree Officers (NATO) has lined up an event at Barcham Tree Nursery in Ely, Cambridgeshire, to promote tree protection.

The conference on April 22 will feature talks by consultant Tim Moya Associates on arboricultural input from planning stages through to design and implementation.

Paul Kiss of underpinning specialist Abbey-Pynford will look at house foundations, and Dean Bowie at Greenleaf will cover root-zone improvement for new trees.

The event is targeted at NATO members but a few free places are being made available to non-members.

"NATO recognises local authority funds for officer training are restricted and hopefully this keep up professional development," said a representative.
