Barcham Trees has won a four-year contract to supply the Dundee Waterfront development with a range of elm, birch and lime trees.

Salesman at the Cambridgeshire nursery Tom Wilson recently signed off the first consignment of nearly 50 trees, mainly elms, which are being planted to continue an existing boulevard.

He said: "Dundee still has a lot of elms and they were keen to keep that going."

The Ulmus × hollandica 'Dodoens' are "vigorous, with an ascending habit and good resistance to Dutch elm disease", he added.
