BALI workshop will concentrate on basic design principles

Basic landscape and garden design principles will be the subject of a workshop to be held at BALI in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, on 27 February.

BALI designer director and joint principal of Garden Design School Robin Templar Williams will speak about design principles, "to reacquaint and introduce basic principles needed to achieve good design in logical sequential steps".

This will include:

- description of good design principles that help support the designer in visualising a three-dimensional space by way of a two-dimensional image (the plan);

- observation of a number of other design principles that should be further considered to enhance the space;

- application of structural planting to further develop the scheme, analysing designs to emphasise these principles.

- Call 024 76 690333 for details.
